Class & Workshop News

• PAINT WITH WORDS: Poetry class meets on Thursdays from 10:30am – 12pm online and in person. The topic for this week is Poems That Paint a Portrait. No experience necessary.  You may attend even if you missed previous weeks. • CALLIGRAPHY: Registration is now open for the NEW Calligraphy class taught by Emily Kouris.  The 3-week class will be held Thursdays from 10am – 12 pm starting February 20.  Register online lectampa.org, or you can email info@lectampa.org, call (813) 932-0241, or sign up in person.

• WATERCOLORS with LIONEL: Lionel Sanchez will be at the LEC to lead a Watercolor Workshop on Saturday, February 22 from 10am – 1 pm. This is an in-person only workshop.  Spaces are limited, and there will be NO walk-ins for this workshop.  Payment MUST be received by Friday, February 14 to reserve your seat. Club News

• WALKING CLUB: Monday, February 10 at Copeland Park. It’s located at 11001 N. 15th Street. To carpool, meet at the LEC at 9 am and leave the LEC at 9:10 am.  To meet the group at Copeland Park, after you enter the park, turn right, follow the road pass the ballfield, and go to the circle drive parking area. Park by the restrooms. We’ll gather at Copeland Park by 9:30am. Anyone interested in joining the Monday morning Walking Club outing this week, please email Arleen at grants@lectampa.org for details. Include your cell phone number.

• YARN CLUB:The Yarn Arts Club will meet in the LEC Library on Wednesday, February 12 from 10 am – 12pm.  Bring a project and join the fun!

• DONATIONS NEEDED: Paper towels, small bottles of water

• PLEIN AIR GROUP—DATE CORRECTIONS:A small group of LEC artists will meet by the clubhouse at Al Lopez Park around 8:30 am on Monday, February 10 (and Monday, February 24) weather permitting.  Any medium welcome.  Bring all your own supplies.

• ANTHOLOGY SALE! Creative Fire: Embers and Ashes anthologies Vol. XXIV or earlier are now available at the LEC for only $1 each!
